By having conviction and a long-term vision, you'll gain the trust of investment partners, attract off-market deals, and ultimately reach your goals faster. Your passion, conviction, and long-term mindset will project onto others, and you'll come across as someone who knows their stuff and can execute and follow through.

Step 3 - Architect

In this step, build your sandcastle that will attract investors to your niche. However, most people get stuck here. They may have a niche avatar in mind but lack conviction or resort to outdated capital-raising methods like cold calling or relying on their network. Instead, focus on building an efficient investor funnel. This approach will help you connect with investment partners effortlessly.

Here are some tips on how to architect a successful funnel and create valuable content to continually attract new investment partners:

  • Choose a target avatar investment partner: Select the "sandbox" you'll be playing in before architecting your funnel.

  • The top layer of your funnel: Attract investors with valuable content, such as books, podcasts, speaking engagements, blog posts, articles, PR writing, white papers, or YouTube videos.

  • Evergreen content: Create content that will still be relevant and valuable ten years from now.

  • Real-world example: One of Richard's clients purchased a book he wrote, realized he was an expert in the field and invested with him without meeting him in person. By establishing yourself as a thought leader, you'll win your avatar over because they'll be confident in knowing, liking, and trusting you!
